Coordination Committee

The Coordination Committee serves as a vital mechanism within the East African Community (EAC) framework, facilitating collaboration and synergy among various sectors and stakeholders. It consists of Permanent Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, and Under Secretaries from Partner States and is responsible for overseeing the implementation of regional policies and initiatives, ensuring they align with the EAC’s strategic objectives. The primary role of the Coordination Committee is to enhance communication and cooperation across different sectors, addressing any overlaps or gaps in efforts. In addition to its oversight responsibilities, the Coordination Committee plays a key role in monitoring progress, evaluating outcomes, and making recommendations for improvements.
