The members of the 19th Sectoral Council of Ministers for Lake Victoria Basin (19th SECOM) from five Partner States of the East African commended Lake Victoria Basin Commission (LVBC) for mobilizing resources from Partner States and Development Partners.

 

The 19th Sectoral Council of Minister for Lake Victoria Basin (19th LVB-SECOM) was concluded on 22nd June 2018 in Entebbe, Republic of Uganda.

Knowledge Management Strategy Workshop Kicked off in Uganda - Willy Mugenzi, CDAO

The LVBC Knowledge Management Strategy validation workshop commenced at the Imperial Golf View Hotel, Entebbe, Republic of Uganda, 28th-30th November 2017. At least two delegates from 5 East African Partner States—Burundi, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda—and senior management staff from LVBC and the K4Health Project are participating in the regional workshop, which will result into a validated LVBC KM Strategy spelling out objectives, strategic actions and remedial solutions to gaps identified through a rapid gaps assessment conducted in 2016.

Lake Victoria Basin Commission (LVBC) will validate its new Knowledge Management Strategy (2017-2022) during a regional workshop in Entebbe, Republic of Uganda. The workshop, taking place at the Imperial Golf View Hotel from 28th-30th November 2017, aims at enhancing understanding of the importance of knowledge management to organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

The sixth Mara Day Celebrations held on 15th September 2016 in Tarime, the United Republic of Tanzania stressed effective partnership between States and non-states as a pathway to conservation success. Speeches, exhibitions, songs, poems and other activities were centered on the theme: "Healthy Mara River for Sustainable Development."

The Annual Mara Day celebrated every 15th of September shall be held in Tarime District, the United Republic of Tanzania. The celebration shall be guided by the theme: "Healthy Mara River for Sustainable Development," and it resonates with achieved milestone since the inception and adoption of 15th September as an annual Mara Day Celebration for the two Republics: United Republic of Tanzania and Republic of Kenya.
