The United Republic of Tanzania and Republic of Uganda has receivedfinancing from the African Development Bank (AfDB) hereinafter called the Bank toward the cost of the Multinational Lake Victoria Maritime Communications and Transport Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Furniture ( Lot 1), ICT Equipment (Lot 2) and Marine Equipment (Lot 3) for Regional Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre in Mwanza, Tanzania.
Bidders may Bid for one or more Lots, as applicable and, as further defined in the bidding document. Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one Lot, as applicable will be allowed to do so, provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid.
The EAC Lake Victoria Basin Commission now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Furniture (Lot 1), ICT Equipment (Lot 2) and Marine Equipment (Lot 3) for the Regional Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre in Mwanza, Tanzania.
4.Bidding will be conducted through the Open Competitive Bidding (International), (OCBI) method as specified in the Bank’s Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations, dated October 2015, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework.
Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from EAC – Lake Victoria Basin Commission (LVBC), e-mail procurement@lvbcom.org and copy furaha@lvbcom.org and inspect the bidding document during office hours from 09:00 to 16:00 hours at the address given below.
The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of USD 50 (United States Dollar Fifty). The method of payment will be direct bank deposit. The document will be sent by email address procurement@lvbcom.org or may be downloaded from the website www.lvbcom.org or www.eac.int.
Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 11.00 Hours local time on 9th July 2024. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below: on 9th July 2024 at 11:15 Hours local time.
All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of 5,000 USD (United States Dollars Five Thousand), per Lot in the form of an Unconditional Bank Guarantee from a Reputable bank.
Attention is drawn to the Procurement Framework requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
