INVITATION FOR TENDER

BID NO:AE/095/2020-2021/HQ/G/25

FOR

SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF WEATHER BUOYS FORECAST EQUIPMENT

Date: 14th December, 2020

  1. The United Republic of Tanzania has received Financing from the African Development Bank in various currencies towards the cost of MULTINATIONAL LAKE VICTORIA MARITIME AND COMMUNICATIONS AND TRANSPORT PROJECT (MLVMCT). It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for the Supply and Installation of Weather Buoys Forecast Equipment.

     
  2. The Tanzania Shipping Agencies Corporation (TASAC) now invites sealed Tenders from eligible Manufacturers to Supply and Installation of Weather Buoys Forecast Equipment.

     
  3. Interested eligible Tenders may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary, TASAC Tender Board Head Office, PPF Tower at 7th Floor (wing 701), P.O. Box 989, Dar es Salaam from 0800 to 1700 local time Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
  1. A complete set of Bidding Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 3 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tanzania Shillings 100,000.00 (Tanzania Shillings One Hundred Thousand only). Payment should be through GePG, payable to Director General after receiving control number from the Corporation before making the payment.
  1. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Document:  Procurement of Goods or Procurement of Works.
  1. All Tenders must be accompanied by a tender security guarantee in the amount of 6,000 USD or equivalent convertible currency.
  1. All tenders in one original plus Two copies properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the Secretary, TASAC Tender Board Head Office, PPF Tower at 7th Floor (wing 701), P.O. Box 989, Dar es Salaam at or before 10:00 hour’s local time on Thursday 19th February, 2021. Bids will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the at the TASAC Board room Head Office, PPF Tower Building 8th Floor (Wing 8010).
  1. Late tender, Portion of Tenders, Electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
