This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this program that appeared in UNDB online on 18th January 2011.

 

Lake Victoria Basin Commission (LVBC) is a specialized Institution of East African Community that is responsible for coordinating the sustainable development agenda of the Lake Victoria Basin. The establishment of the Commission is provided for under Article 411 of the Treaty of Establishment of the East African Community (1999).

 

The Lake Victoria Basin Commission (LVBC) through the East African Community (EAC) received financing from the African Development Fund towards the cost of the Lake Victoria Water Supply and Sanitation Program Phase II (LVWATSAN II), and intends to apply part of the agreed amount to payments under the contract for “Supply, Delivery and Installation of Training & Capacity Building Equipment & Software for Tanzania.”

 

The LVWATSAN II is a regional initiative being implemented by five EAC Partner States of Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda.  The Project is regionally coordinated by the LVBC, which is executing cross cutting issues.

 

The LVBC now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Supply, Delivery and Installation of Equipment & Software for Training & Capacity Building Component for Tanzania as separated into two (2) lots here below:

 

LOT 1: Computer Equipment and Software: Desktop Computers, Laptops, Printers,
            Voltage Regulators, UPSs, Billing Software and GIS Software
LOT 2: Laboratory Equipment and Reagents - Turbidity meters, Comparator discs and Chlorine test tablets

Bids in one original and two copies, properly filled in and enclosed in a plain envelop and clearly marked “Supply, Delivery and Installation of Equipment & Software for Training & Capacity Building for Kenya” and IFB No. LVBC/LVWATSAN/GDS/2017/18/03 must be delivered to the Tender Box or sent by courier on or before 1100hrs EA time on Tuesday, 4th September 2018 addressed as below:
