MR. SAMUEL KERUNYU GICHERE Deputy Executive Secretary (PP)  Samuel Kerunyu Gichere, a Kenyan born in 1956, is a holder of an Msc degree in Operations Research from Polytechnic Institute of New York, U.S.A. and a BA. Economics from the University of Nairobi. He is an economist with several years practical work experience in the environment and natural resources sector and has participated in various consultancies in the sector. He has a wide expertise in project formulation; implementation and management. Mr Samuel Kerunyu Gichere has a wealth of experience in resource mobilization and has worked with various development partners, Non-governmental Organizations and community based organizations. Before this appointment, Mr Samuel Kerunyu Gichere was a Chief Economist with the Government of Kenya having served in many Ministries among others the Ministry of Planning and National Development, Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Environment and Mineral Resources and the Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife. He has published with the World Bank on “Climate Variability and Water Resources Degradation in Kenya”.
